Designing with Inspiration
Meet the designer behind Simply Stated
Meet the Owner
I took my love for decorating and my eye for design by refining and building my skill set while earning a certificate for Staging and Design through the most recognized and accredited home staging course in the industry with the program offered through The Home Staging Resource. In addition, I continue to educate myself through HSR by attending webinars offered on the latest and newest trends of the industry.
Education & Work
I graduated with a Liberal Arts Degree in Education where I learned a variety of transferable skills rather than just one specific skill set. I implemented those learned skills in the classroom where I taught 6th grade reading. During my time as an educator, I discovered my personal interests and my personal strengths, which sparked my creativity through lessons, activities and projects I created and presented in the classroom. Fast forward to today, I decided to take my love for creating, designing and decorating in forging a new career path into the industry of Staging and Design forming Simply Stated Staging & Designs, LLC where I can showcase my talent and my "eye for design".
Design Approach
My design approach is to use the 8 Steps in each room so that you FEEL HOME in your own home. I will use what you already have and love to create environments and spaces that seem fresh, new, updated and comfortable for you and your family. I can also create a budget and shop for those accessories that add the WOW factor to each space in your home.
Feel Home
First Impressions
I will walk through your home room by room taking note of my first impressions noting what grabs me, what glares at me and what gives me a feeling of home.
Eliminating Clutter
The packing starts now. I pack away a good percentage of everything in the room in order to create a more clean, open and spacious feeling.
Emphasizing Positive Elements
Finding your focal points, I will emphasize what we love about the room and hide or distract the negative aspects of the rooms.
Lighten Up
Focusing on lighting and color, I will make each room into a bright, warm and inviting space buyers can respond to.
Home Buyer's Appeal
In order for a buyer to "feel home", they need to not be reminded of this being someone else's home. I will depersonalize the space while retaining the warmth.
Obligations
The dirty work speaks for itself, but is often overlooked because you have lived here for so long. Let's get rid of the buyer's mental repair list by doing it ourselves.
Modernizing
This involves updating your style and building simple accessories out of what you already have to create clean lines and forms. In some cases, I will recommend purchases as valuable investments in the staging process.
Emotional Connection Points
This concept focuses on my positioning strategy. I will show you how to build in these subtleties in order to make buyers subconsciously desire to live here and "feel home". The "emotional connection points" are where marketing strategy really comes into play.
